Welcome to the Lamorinda Ukulele Club!
We're ukulele fans who have jammed together on Monday nights since 2014. We started at the Lamorinda Music store in Lafayette, California, and although we now meet in nearby Walnut Creek with members from all over the East Bay, the name Lamorinda Ukulele Club stuck.
Most members started by just showing up one week and getting drawn into the fun and camaraderie of playing ukulele and singing together with a great bunch of people. We hope you'll have the same experience!
Where and when are the jams?
Our Monday Night Ukulele Jam meets every other week at a church in Walnut Creek. See the Monday Jam Info page for more information.
From spring through fall, we also hold a daytime jam called Music in the Park, outdoors in a park in Walnut Creek. See the Park Jam Info page for more information.
Who can attend?
We're a friendly, low-key bunch, and we welcome all ukulele players. Our club members live in various East Bay locations, including Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Moraga, Martinez, Danville, Oakland, Emeryville, Vallejo, San Ramon, Pleasanton, and more! Some members are beginners who know just a couple of chords; others have played for years. Whatever your experience level, you'll fit in. Just come and have fun!
Is there a membership fee?
We're an all-volunteer, member-led group. Each person who attends our indoor jams is asked to make a small contribution that goes entirely to our host venue for use of the space, but there is no membership fee to join the club.
